Empathy. Communication. Adoptee.
As an HR Business Partner at Trek10, Thomas supports special projects and the people operations team. Thomas is an activator with ten years of experience leading technology and people operations within dynamic high-tech environments. He believes in the power of human energy and the ability to transform companies and communities through social connections. Thomas is at his best when he provides support, builds the structure, and advocates for others to achieve their goals.
Thomas completed undergraduate studies in Pre-law, Labor and Industrial Relations at Indiana University before earning a bachelor of science degree in Business, Human Resource Management from Western Governors University. Thomas has achieved the SHRM Certified professional designation from the Society for Human Resource Management and is actively pursuing an MBA in IT Project Management.
Before joining Trek10, Thomas worked as a People, Operations, and Technology consultant for progressive startups and rapidly growing organizations. Previously, Thomas worked in federal politics as a National IT Director on a top-tier presidential campaign and spent eight years in the tech industry as an Administrator, Technical Expert, and Retail Preservation and Operations Specialist with one of the most admired brands in the world.
Thomas loves sports (Go Irish!) and advocating for child welfare and foster care youth in his spare time. As an older adoptee himself, Thomas is acutely aware of what it feels like not to belong and goes out of his way to make others feel included and welcome. Thomas lives in South Bend and enjoys spending time with his partner and three dachshunds. In a past life, Thomas worked in the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Yosemite, as a wrangler and has a passion for horses and animal husbandry. On the flip side, Thomas unequivocally hates snakes and refuses to live anywhere near where they live their best life. By default, Thomas loves the outdoors, mountains, the cold, and anything to do with snow.
