A Big Step Forward for Trek10

We founded Trek10 three and a half years ago with a mission to transform our clients’ IT infrastructure by leveraging the very best and latest in cloud technologies. Since then, we’ve been racing at full speed to build a company that provides world-class engineering expertise and support for high-performance environments on Amazon Web Services. At our core, Trek10 is an engineering-centric company and as a trained engineer and IT professional, I’ve simultaneously held the roles of technical co-founder, CEO, and CTO.

While I have focused on the technical side of Trek10, I have been very fortunate to have Jim Abercrombie and Shane Fimbel alongside of me as co-founders focused on the business and operational parts of our business, though both were initially part-time when we bootstrapped the company. I recruited Jim to join me at Trek10 full time in 2015 and since then we have more than tripled in size, attained Advanced Consulting Partner status in the AWS Partner Network, and earned the DevOps and IoT Competencies from AWS. Most importantly, Trek10 has come to be known as a worldwide thought leader and practitioner of serverless architectures on AWS.

Today I am excited to announce that Shane Fimbel, our third co-founder will be joining us at Trek10! I will officially be taking the title of CTO and handing the role of CEO to Shane. Enterprise cloud adoption is at an inflection point and Shane joining the team marks the beginning of an exciting new growth phase for our company. Shane is a very accomplished entrepreneur who has demonstrated success in every position he has held; as someone I trust implicitly and who knows Trek10 deeply already, I cannot think of a better person to lead Trek10 in the coming years as we build a world class cloud consulting and managed services company here in South Bend, Indiana.

I’m incredibly excited to be able to focus on my role as CTO, advancing Trek10’s technical vision, innovation, and delivery capabilities and I couldn’t be more confident in Shane’s ability to jump in and guide the ship. I would like to thank all of our employees, investors, customers, advisors, friends, and everyone who has supported me over the last few years as Trek10 has grown from a tiny startup to a fast-growing company with a national and worldwide reach. We have a come long way, yet our future has never been brighter.
